The Girls from Reef City Rollergirls are in the media again and this time they are promoted for their 2011 calendar launch online in the Cairns Post. What better photos to have displayed next to the months of the year than these local, nurses, students, bank teller's and stay home mum's who, with the help of Emily Brooking Creative, have captured their roller derby alter ego's on film and created their own calendar to help promote their sport and also their league which is growing immensely. The Reef City Rollergirls launched their 2011 calendar in January at MOFO on McLeod street with the help of local punk rockers, Meat Bikini, and Brisbane based D.J. Dead Meat, who is another fellow derby girl. Watch this space for future events hosted by the girls from Reef City.
